Sierra Designs high-tech, $1,800 tent
Well well if you own a Bentley you will feel right at home with this tent as with the $1800 price tag this does make this the most expensive tent to date.
Now I understand that the sail materiel is very expensive but I guess that the people who might think about buying this tent is not in my circle of friends I can only guess that someone will purchase this just because they do have the money to burn.
But for all the other millions of folks who are just a little closer to this world you can also go to http://www.thesmokeycampground.com/tentsshelters-c-35_44_64.html?osCsid=f14dce6f8169604327a2661d7ef2d3a3
And shop for normal tents and shelters!

Cooking in paper? Energia pots fold like origami
I can fully see hoe someone came up with this idea, they hike and they wanted to pack lighter/smaller and not have to worry about clean up. And the cleanup thing can be an issue when in the woods, or outback of some kind, water is not always plentiful so this works. Also so might say HAY I BRING MY POTS AND PANS WITH ME AND IT IS NOT ANY BIG DEAL, but to those who are in that camp, there is always someone [or more than one] who will not agree with you, like I said easy, quick, light and small. So this works.
But then to the people who do not like this type of camp stove I carry the full size type so go to http://www.thesmokeycampground.com/camp-stoves-c-35_44_79.html and take a look at the line of camp stove I offer, with heaters and service parts.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife Partners with The North Face
This is a great article about camping, and the park system in this country. I wish like others who love the outdoors that more people would unplug and get outdoors. There is such a great amount to see and smell and best of all learn from being outdoors.
I do not offer the North Face tents but do offer many other great models along with other great hiking and camping items, [like camp stoves, camp chairs] and much more. So please save some money and stop by at www.thesmokeycampground.com soon and get your camping, hunting, boating needs.
Also I want to tell everyone who reads this, as I have a number of people who call my office to ask about camping sites [which I do not have] just a name, but I do talk with these great people and so have just tents, and I will always steer these people to state parks. There is a lot that all the states offer in their own park system that it appears a lot of people does not know about. So if you are thinking about using the great state park system just go to the state you want to camp at and look up under tourism and them look under camping, and you will find a great wealth of information, from the sites, to hours, to needs you name it and the info should be there.
So to all who are getting outdoors enjoy and if you do have any questions please feel free to contact me and I will try and answer any questions you may have.

Trekmates flameless camp cooking system
No as some have noted this is not a new mouse trap but the cost and convenience of the system is what makes this a cool product. There are three different sizes to help the end user fit the use better, and for real hiking into real remote locations [where weight and space are critical] this system will work great. And for the people saying “who wants precooked food’ well if you are hiking it is what you eat a lot of, so it works.
Multi-day Kayaking Trip? Gear List and Planning Tips
This is great list of items that anyone should be looking to take, not only for a cone/kayak trip, but hiking, one day camping and other outdoors sports and activities.
Now comes the thing if you are new to any of these outdoor activities where do you go to get most of these items in one spot. Yes you can shop around the internet with many stores and have it all shipped from all the different internet stores. Or you could take a lot of time [most likely] over a long or multiple weekends you can run all over your town or state [depending on the shopping in your area] and find most of the items you should be bringing on your trip.
Or you can go to one location and get almost every item on this list from The Smokey Campground! Yes I do not have every item on the list BUT STOP do not run away the items I do not carry are items you most likely have in your closet [The Clothes List] That’s all, at The Smokey Campground we do not carry clothing, but I do carry most everything else, just follow a couple of the links below and you will see you can make this one stop internet location for all things outdoors! So give this a try and you will be surprised at all the time and money you will save just shopping here!!
