Murphy Horner, a 5er owner, got tired of that routine, so he invented his own game changer. Murphy modified that old landing gear making it much easier to raise. He simply put a long bolt through one of the existing holes and secured it with a retaining nut and washer on one side and a lock-nut on the other.
Now he doesn’t have to try to get his fingers under the landing pad “foot” in order to raise the landing gear legs. He simply grabs the bolt and hoists it up into traveling position.
Our thanks to Murphy for giving us a leg up with our RVs – Jim Twamley, Professor of RVing
