SAVE YOUR RV SLIDE OUTS with this Lubricant

SAVE YOUR RV SLIDE OUTS with this Lubricant

If you have slide outs in your RV, a little maintenance goes a long way. You should regularly lube your slide outs with a product like Camco Slide Out Lube (http://goo.gl/cy5fk6). It’s a nice value at around $10 for a 15-ounce can.

Camco’s Slide Out Lube is a dry lube that’s specially formulated for RV slide outs. It will reduce slide rail friction and the problems that ensue from such friction.

CLICK THE CAN to get yer own lube!

Slide out mechanisms and seals are expensive, so this is a wise investment in long term protection.

The spray should be applied to metal rails and gears. This lube will help ensure that your slide outs continue to operate smoothly without sticking.

This Camco spray-on lube leaves behind a dry film that repels dirt and grime.

Even more important, the film also protects metal surfaces against damaging rust and corrosion.

Camco’s lubricant is surprisingly durable and long-lasting.

In fact, it’s rated for 336 hours of continuous salt spray (that’s 2 weeks to you and me). I guess this means you are free to take that two week beachfront vacation after a thorough dose of this stuff.

If you are winterizing your rig, it’s a good time to take care of some routine maintenance tasks like lubing your slide outs.

Slide Outs are wonderful amenities in an RV, but they are often the source of maintenance problems.

This Camco lube addresses a couple of potential problem areas, helping the gears and rails work better while also fighting corrosion. For ten bucks a can, it’s a no brainer purchase!

This Camco product is good and I have used this in the past, BUT there are others out there. The things you need to know is this;

1) all the moving parts will need a DRI-LUBE and this type of lube only, Why you ask simple if you use any oil or silicone based product it attracts dirt, and if dirt gets into all the moving parts all you were trying to save by doing your maintenance is not wiped out, worn out and yes broken

2) you also need to lube all the seals with a lube type product and yes Camco makes it and yes there are other brands, what I like is 303, but if you read up on what Camco’s product is and some of 303’s it is silicone, based so yes you could just go to wal-mart and buy a can of spray silicone BUT  I will bet most of you will opt of the cheapest price you can buy, WRONG the HD or Pure silicone (depends on brands) is more silicone per once and it is a better silicone. SO make sure if you do not purchase the rv specific brands to know what you are buying and here saving money will come back to bite you big time.

About smokeycamping

Well let's see have lived in NY for my whole life, have always loved the outdoors (as long as it is warm out) have always hated the cold, and like a dummy have stayed in NY. But now with my second try my wife, we have been camping now for well over 25 yrs. We currently own a 2010 Cedar creek silverback 35TS and can not wait to get out on the highways and see this great country we all call home. Hope to see every National park before my medical issue becomes too bad to travel. I love my African gray parrot (she is my baby) and have two dogs at the time brother and sister mutts, but love them all the same. Have always been a big Nascar fan, love computers (have a number of certificates to build and work on them) am trying to learn photography, enjoy light hiking, being with good friends and folks. country music, pop music and just being outdoors. So I hope someday to meet some of the great people who like what I like and post out there in some great campground somewhere in the country, till then I will keep posting and I hope you keep liking.
