WanderMan: Check Your Batteries During Storage!! Or Else!

WanderMan: Check Your Batteries During Storage!! Or Else!

via WanderMan: Check Your Batteries During Storage!! Or Else!.

This is a great article about the things you NEED to be aware of if you store your rv in the winter and have the luxury of having power to it all winter long. To many people feel that if it is cold outside they can forget about the rv until it warms up again in winter, but that is far from the truth. I have to leave my coach in a campground year round as where I live I have no way to get anything this big near my home. So in doing so I have no power and have to travel to get to my coach during the winter, but unless we have a winter like we are having with all the snow (the campground does not plow the park) so I have only been there twice since we closed up because there is over a foot of snow to trudge through, but I have to take the battery home so it does not freeze and ruin the battery. But if you are lucky enough and you have a coach over 10 yrs old and have not changed the power converter to a new (absorption rate charger) style then it could ruin your battery, as it could even in the cold of winter boil the battery, since the cold weather alone can draw power out of a battery.

SO read through this article and even if you still have any question clink on all the links The Wanderman posted and you should have a full understanding as to all the steps “you should be going through” to protect you battery and your wallet.

About smokeycamping

Well let's see have lived in NY for my whole life, have always loved the outdoors (as long as it is warm out) have always hated the cold, and like a dummy have stayed in NY. But now with my second try my wife, we have been camping now for well over 25 yrs. We currently own a 2010 Cedar creek silverback 35TS and can not wait to get out on the highways and see this great country we all call home. Hope to see every National park before my medical issue becomes too bad to travel. I love my African gray parrot (she is my baby) and have two dogs at the time brother and sister mutts, but love them all the same. Have always been a big Nascar fan, love computers (have a number of certificates to build and work on them) am trying to learn photography, enjoy light hiking, being with good friends and folks. country music, pop music and just being outdoors. So I hope someday to meet some of the great people who like what I like and post out there in some great campground somewhere in the country, till then I will keep posting and I hope you keep liking.
