Interesting Places Everywhere
looks like a great place to stop for eats and to get some tourist things (if you like those types of things) but I really like the idea of the building.
We found an interesting place the other night when we stopped at exit 53 on I-10 outside of Robertsdale, Alabama. After we got the motorhome parked and level at Hilltop RV, we went back to the intersection to look around. We found a place called “Derailed Diner” and a Marathon Station that had an amazing shop inside. I don’t think the place was here the last time we came through here.
The building itself was unusual and included as the entrance a semblance of a 60’s era Volkswagen micro-mini bus which was designed to appear as if it had crashed through the wall, as well as several train cars that seemed to have derailed and lodged in the outer walls of the Derailed Diner.
