Escapees club Moblie phone applications

Mobile Applications

Mobile applications can be extremely useful while on the road. Whether you are looking for a place to stay, somewhere to dump your tanks, or just a great place to eat, you can bet “there’s an app for that!”

Here at Escapees we are always trying to make your life on the road easier, so we’ve decided to compile a list of some of our favorite “must have” apps that we feel specifically meet the needs of RVers. Enjoy and happy travels!

Google Maps- Free
The free Google maps application is almost a no-brainer to have handy on your phone. It can replace your paper map altogether while helping you find destinations and businesses along the way, and provides directions, all with the ease of turn-by-turn navigation. Available for iPhone and Android devices.

Allstays- $9.99
Allstays massive directory holds more than 28,000 campgrounds. You can easily find what you are looking for by filtering amenities and by type of park, i.e. private, national or state park, BLM land. Once you have found a campground, you can view their website, phone number, and directions. One of the best things about this app is that you can use it with or without Internet! Available for iPhone and Android devices.

GasBuddy- Free
GasBuddy lets you search for gas prices by city, state, zip code, with listings for all cities in the USA and Canada. The prices are updated in real-time and show the time it was located, allowing you to fill up on the cheapest gas near you with ease. Available for iPhone and Android devices.

Sanidumps- $2.51
The Sanidumps app has the largest up-to-date RV dump station listings found anywhere. Quickly identify locations for emptying the gray- and black-water holding tanks in your trailer, camper, or motorhome. Available for iPhone and Android devices.

WeatherBug- Free
The WeatherBug app makes it easy to view the forecast up to 10 days in advance, which may be very helpful when planning ahead for your next destination. View interactive weather maps, live weather cams, and also view severe weather alerts in areas you might be traveling to. Available for iPhone and Android devices.

Key Ring- Free
One of the great things about RVing is that you find new things in every town, which could potentially lead to several loyalty cards to different stores (especially grocery stores) in order to receive discounts. Those pesky cards can fill up your wallet quickly, and this handy app helps you avoid an overstuffed wallet. On top of storing all of your cards in one place, it has coupons for over 15,000 retailers that you can redeem right from your phone. Available for iPhone and Android devices.

State Lines- $4.99

About smokeycamping

Well let's see have lived in NY for my whole life, have always loved the outdoors (as long as it is warm out) have always hated the cold, and like a dummy have stayed in NY. But now with my second try my wife, we have been camping now for well over 25 yrs. We currently own a 2010 Cedar creek silverback 35TS and can not wait to get out on the highways and see this great country we all call home. Hope to see every National park before my medical issue becomes too bad to travel. I love my African gray parrot (she is my baby) and have two dogs at the time brother and sister mutts, but love them all the same. Have always been a big Nascar fan, love computers (have a number of certificates to build and work on them) am trying to learn photography, enjoy light hiking, being with good friends and folks. country music, pop music and just being outdoors. So I hope someday to meet some of the great people who like what I like and post out there in some great campground somewhere in the country, till then I will keep posting and I hope you keep liking.
